Scott Belzer is the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Heroes Martial Arts. He received his B.S. degree in Exercise Science from the University of Memphis.While at Memphis, Scott was involved in many different exercise related research projects, one of which he presented at a national conference.He was also a competitive Olympic weightlifter at the University of Memphis and placed 12th in the 85 kg weight class at the USA Weightlifting’s Collegiate National Championships.
Scott completed a summer internship in 2002 at Iowa State University where he assisted in the conditioning and program development of 16 Division I men’s and women’s teams.His responsibilities also included supervising various sport camps, testing student-athletes, and overseeing the daily operations of the Iowa State strength facility.Coach Belzer is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (N.S.C.A.) and a Level I Certified Club Coach with USA Weightlifting.He also served as a high school football and wrestling coach in both Iowa and Indiana.While in Indiana, Scott had the honor of being selected to coach the Indiana National Greco Roman Wrestling Team, which competed at the USA Wrestling Junior National Championships
