Mats

Heroes Martial Arts proudly uses Swain Mats for our grappling surfaces and wall padding!

The Swain Grappling Mat is the ultimate flooring system. The first true mat developed for the martial arts industry, and has been used as the official martial arts mat of the Olympic Games.

This flooring system makes a positive lasting impact on anyone who trains on it. School owners prefer it because it eliminates odors, enhances appearance, and is versatile enough for any style. Students and competitors love it because it’s a truly high performance surface. Parents take comfort in it, knowing that their children are training on a forgiving floor. The Swain Grappling Mat is the only choice for instructors who are serious about using the highest quality flooring system for their schools.

The Grappling mats are 1.5″ inches thick and filled with high density polyurethane foam and covered with authentically textured tatami vinyl.  In addition, Heroes Martial Arts has all our mats laying on top of another 1/2” inch of foam to be one of the safest, most comfortable surface for grappling possible.

We have 112 mats laid down totaling over 2400 square feet of grappling space purchased brand new.  There are no obstructions, with all that space devoted to one class at a time, this is one of the best and largest surfaces you will find to train and learn on!

We clean and disinfect the mats every day in order to ensure safety and comfort.

Donald L."Facility: Very nice and perfect for grappling, as the mats are new and the entire facility is nice. Instructors:  I've been going to the BJJ classes, and enjoy the instruction and the techniques given.  The formatting of the class is great. Price: By far you get a lot of value as the prices are reasonable , and the only place i know of in the Bay Area where you can pay on a "month to month" basis without having to commit to a yearlong contract. Great place to train!!   "
