Heroes Martial Arts is located in the SOFA district of downtown San Jose.

Located in a historic brick building built in 1914, and completely earthquake retrofitted in 2004, the space has been described as both breathtaking and inspiring by many who have visited.

All 4700 square feet of the building is in the open with 20 foot vaulted ceilings and lighting provided by both the skylights and windows facing both Market street and 1st Street.

Mats dominate the floorspace and with no obstructions or central pillar supports this is one of the most open mats you’ll ever find within a martial arts academy.

Fitness equipment, including cardio machines and weights are available for students.

Students have cubbyhole storage next to the mat, and their is ample seating for spectators.

There are two restrooms and a shower available.

This tremendous facility only holds one class at a time!  So the entire academy is devoted to you!  Pictures don’t do this space justice, you have to come see for yourself!

    DDN"This is the next generation of academies no longer are academies confined to hidden industrial parks, this academy is in an amazing prime downtown location that looks like it would be suited for an art gallery. Which does fit since the head instructor Alan (Gumby) Marques keeps a strong focus on the pure gentile art we know as Jiu-Jitsu.
