Adisa Banjoko gets his Purple Belt!

Friday evening long time friend and Jiu Jitsu student Adisa Banjoko was awarded his purple belt in Jiu Jitsu from Gumby.

When we say “long time”, we definitely mean “long time”.  We won’t say exactly how long Adisa has been training for, but he’s been a long time contributer to the BJJ and Martial Arts community at large through his organization of events and writing and numerous other projects (including Gumby’s website onthemat.com

It is solely for Adisa’s merits and skill he is being recognized; his dedication and abilities and attitude have made him both a formidable opponent and a leader on the mat.

Congratulations Adisa!  We’re all proud of you here at Heroes Martial Arts!

HEROES offers instruction for children ages six to twelve, thirteen to eightteen and competition classes for students hoping to compete in BJJ tournaments. While most gyms boast about checking egos at the door, Marques’s academy makes aspiring students of all ages feel at home.  "
