Dr. Armbar adds a blue belt to his resume.

Dino Del Mastro earns his Blue Belt!

Dino is a man of many talents.  Judo black belt, assistant coach for the wrestling class and Heroes Martial Arts official chiropractor/therapist (currently working over at TEAM Clinic in Santa Clara).  Now he can add Blue Belt in Jiu Jitsu to his extensive resume!

Congrats to the man they call “Dr. Armbar!”

George gets his Purple Belt!

They say probably the toughest leap within Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the transition between blue and purple belt.  George Tan is definitely tough, and he displays the best qualities and skills we aspire to at Heroes Martial Arts, so today George has graduated to the Purple Belt (Faxia Roxa in Portuguese if you prefer).

Congrats George!  We’re all looking forward to seeing what you accomplish on the mat next and look forward to your continued leadership!

Chris M."I was looking for a place to train BJJ in San Jose for almost two months before i found Heroes.  Its not that i couldn’t find a legit academy, there’s a few really great schools in the area but they run a bit pricey.  After a few weeks training here I know I made the right decision. Here’s why Heroes is the the complete package in my humble opinion. Instructors: Gumby’s teachings are easy to follow and he happily answers any questions if you still can’t figure out a move. He preaches simple, effective techniques during the introductory classes and divides the larger classes up based on skill level so the more experienced players get what they need. Students: In two words…. hella chill. No crazy egos or tough guys Facility: top of the line mats, gorgeous aesthetics (vaulted ceilings, birck lined walls), brand new showers/bathrooms. If you’ve ever wanted to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu I definitely recommend checking this academy out.   "
